Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Saturday said he had not been suspended by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also insisted that he was neither issued a query as claimed by the party leadership nor has he received any letter to that effect.
DAILY POST had reported last month that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC suspended governors Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun for anti-party activities.
A statement issued by APC spokesman, Lanre Issa-Onilu at the time said the NWC would also issue a query to Governor Akeredolu over his glaring anti-party activities, which greatly affected the fortunes of our candidates in the recently-conducted Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
However, in a terse SMS Governor Akeredolu told Independent newspaper on Saturday: “I have not received any letter be it query or suspension. Thanks”.
