The meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ended in deadlock on Tuesday.
On their way out of the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, none of the Governors responded to questions from State House correspondents.
Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), explained to reporters that a unanimous agreement was reached at the meeting not to talk to the media.
On his way out, one of the Governors said, “Some people think they are tall but they can never control us. Never!”
The Governors, who are divided over the tenure extension of John Oyegun, were reportedly engaged in fierce arguments during the over one-hour meeting.
Buhari eventually told correspondents he had to reschedule the meeting and asked them to pick another date.
