Manchester United have been handed a double boost ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Sunday after Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo were part of Jose Mourinho’s travelling squad.
Fellaini has been sidelined since the last international break after suffering knee ligament damage during Belgium’s win over Bosnia.
Rojo, meanwhile, is yet to make an appearance this season after rupturing his cruciate ligament in April.
But both players were seen with the rest of United’s squad at Stockport train station on Saturday afternoon as the team made their way to London ahead of Sunday’s match at Stamford Bridge.
In his press conference on Thursday, Mourinho was unable to confirm if any of his injured players would be returning to face the Premier League champions but hinted some had a chance.
"We still have Friday and Saturday [to come]. I’m not very optimistic, but I don’t want to lie,’ said the United manager.
‘I don’t want you to say that I told a lie when I said there’s no chance of recovering – so I prefer just to say two more days to confirm my expectation.’
