The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday,
1st and Monday 4th September, 2017 as Public Holidays to Celebrate the Ed-il-Kabir.
The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. (Rtd) Abdulrahman
Bello Dambazau, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government,
congratulated Muslim faithful and all Nigerians, and urge them to use the
season to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country.
Gen. Dambazau further urged Nigerians to join hands
with the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration who is
determined to build a peaceful and united country, where the rights of every
citizen, are protected and guaranteed, as allowed by the Constitution of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Minister while speaking assured Nigerians of their safety in
all parts of the country, emphasizing that security agencies have been directed
to maintain the peace and protect lives and property, the Minister close his remark by wishing all Nigerians
a Happy Id-el-Kabir celebration.
